What are good spells against demons?
Now, there's a few spells that say they are good against undead, such as solar rays. Is that spell also good against Daemons? What else is good against demons?
What about Arcane Bolt which says it's good against magical beings?

Re: What are good spells against demons?
Banishment is good, but depending on what kind of demons you are up against, there may be trouble getting past high demon MR, so you might need H3 casters for it to be effective.
Elemental spells of a non-resisted (or vulnerable) type will work well too, like Falling Frost on Devils. Death spells are good too, like Shadow Blast, if you have a high enough level caster to get past MR issues.

Re: What are good spells against demons?
will 3 death shadow blast casters boosted +3 death levels from communion master be good?
While your at it, can you tell me how long it takes for 275 human-sized units to destroy a 700 defense castle?

Re: What are good spells against demons?
Sounds good, but you want some chaff too for the demons to run up against. Undead chaff would be ideal, since they'd be unaffected by the blasts. If it's Devils or other units with flight, you want chaff on the ground, not skelly-spam, to block the demons from flying over to your mages in the first round of combat. Enough chaff on the ground will also prevent W9 Palankashas on attack rear from getting to your mages too.

The castle question
Your castle question is actually nearly unanswerable. Are the attackers actually humans rather than size-2 units with 15 strength? Are any of them fliers? How many defenders are in the castle, and do any of them fly, and are any mindless?
If they're basic humans with 10 strength though, and the castle is undefended (bar, say, 20 troops or so to lean on the gate), 3 turns. If there are 175 humans inside, reckon on 7 turns of sieging.

Re: The castle question
Argigoth, why do you dislike my nation so much?)) You never even met me and maybe never will. Why are you so aggressive?)
As for the castle, I will answer you. If I want, I will break down those walls in 2-3 turns, believe me. However you should think of arco as of much bigger threat to your friend's walls. He will break them down very quickly too, believe me.

It's funny that Smite Demon hasn't been mentioned...

Against a Demon horde, it's no good because it only targets one.
Against an SC, it's not very good because it does low damage, less than smite, and also it's MR. You'd be better off with an H3 casting Banishment for the penetration+1 than Smite Demon. H2's ... well, I guess if you have a bunch, they could cast Smite Demon, but you're probably better off just having them Sermon, or Banishment in case you hit an unexpected skelly spam army.
