Default Overstacking and accuracy in AFV combat

Basically the question is the following: does overstacking increase the chances that an AFV will be hit by an AT weapon? Experience so far tells me this is the case, but I do want an official answer from the people that work the code. Also, if the answer is yes, does it matter if only AFVs overstack the hex or if it is an AFV/infantry combination?

I know that overstacking is bad regarding infantry and HE weapons, but I want to know for sure if this is the case in AFV combat as well.

Tanks can be hit by scattered shots if HE is used. It alo costs them MP (and thus shots) to enter the same hex as another unit, but there are no particular disadvantages to stacking them in the same hex other than area effect weapons aimed at anothe one (HE, cluster).
