Quick question on seeking arrow...
Sorry if this has been answered before.
Can a seeking arrow cause afflictions? They seem to though I don't think they should... since since the target would have zero fatigue. If they do indeed cause afflictions would the afflictions become more common or more numeruous if (hypothetically) the ritual caster had on a shroud of the battle saint with an D10 bless (400% aff chance). All hypothetical you understand ...

Re: Quick question on seeking arrow...
Afflictions are not directly tied to critical hits, if that is what you are thinking.
The base chance of affliction is based off the % of max HP that the attack does to the target. So human sized 10hp mages are very likely to get an affliction from an arrow that only manages to hit for 7-8. I most often see Chest Wounds from the arrows, but I think I saw a Feeblemind once, and sometimes limps and cripples.

And yes, a D10 blessed caster should boost the affliction chance.

Seeking Arrow very often causes a chest wound if the target survives.

Re: Quick question on seeking arrow...
Bear in mind that most afflictions don't actually matter. Limps are mostly taken care of by another star of experience, and even Cripple doesn't matter on a mage. Blind, Chest Wound, and Cripple matter on an SC, and Mute and Feebleminded (or Diseased) matter on a researcher--causing afflictions will annoy your opponent and a D10 bless is good if you've got it anyway, but don't spend the gems on Seeking Arrow unless you're more likely to kill somebody than afflict him.

Re: Quick question on seeking arrow...
Seeking Arrow spam can be useful for stopping armies or knocking out important commanders so that they are absent from a crucial battle. Nothing like having a couple of key mages killed or getting your primary commander knocked out so that your troops get left behind, but a smart MP opponent will be prepared for this.

Edi,
Do you recall if the hp loss is cumulative with additional seeking arrows the same turn? Also, does the hp damage carry over into an ensuing battle the same turn?

Re: Quick question on seeking arrow...
Yes, HP loss is always cumulative because the healing phase comes near the very end of the turn sequence. The manual has the turn sequence listed somewhere in the middle.
Edit: Ninja'ed by QM.
