Max systems in Gold?

Quick question...gold raised the max number of systems to 300, or am I just dreaming?

Ok. The max number of systems is still 255...the 300 systems was in reference to how many system types you could have in the quadranttypes.txt data file.

I tried 200, and for some reason a vast majority of the systems did not have names. Is this because there are probably only 100 names.

That's the reason why. There are some downloads with much more systemnames in the download section, maybe on the gold disk (i don't know, still waiting on my Version).

Yes, the eyecandy mod on teh gold (written by me) has over 3000 systemnames in the file.
