problem with proportions mod

I am having a bit of a problem with the Proportions Mod. I have first utilized the mod on the the cd, and then downloaded 1.5, and recently 1.5.3. Two problems arise that I no of.
1. In the game setup I get a load error everytime I try to add existing race.
2. By bypassing this and just creating a new race and the finally loads, my main window or system window is blank. I can move the cursor around on it and names will pop up just no pictures.

Is there an easy fix to this. Please help.

?? "It won't let me load existing empires." Yes, empire files created with
other mods won't load, because SE4 doesn't know what do do with the
different racial traits that have been modded. It can still create new
empire files.
?? "The map is blank when I start a game." This sometimes happens when
running a mod for the first time. The solution is to save your game, and
then load that game. (You can do this without exiting the program.) The
map will then appear, and it shouldn't happen on later playings.

The problem is easy to solve:

Proportions mod comes without the "empires" folder.
Hence, SEIV tries to load empires from the default SE IV folder. To solve this problem, create the empty empires folder in proportions folder. Now, you can save and then load empires iwith proportions mod (default .emp files will not work). Start a new game and save the random generated empires into this new folder.

PvK, please add the empires folder into the next release.
