Default NHV, battle healing & unique units

I've just noticed one mysterious (for me) issue.



The picture above shows hp of one ice devil before the battle, at the end of the same battle, and right after the battle.

As you see, it shows 11hp penalty from NHV. But base 56 - 11 != 47, and the unit has been having 47 hp since getting NHV as a green noob, though I haven't been paying attention. Now some more facts (maybe absolutely irrelevant ) — I've checked another ice devil with base hp of 76 and no NHV, and he permanently has 78 hp, the same 2 extra hp. Both of the devils were slain and resummoned once. Both wear rings of regeneration. Both are in HoF, but they can't gain a heroic ability cause they're unique.

Back to the presented battle, the devil was occasionally healed with astral healing (), he was not wounded at that time — an unscripted mage cast it on the full-hp (i.e. 47) demon on his own will. After being healed the demon restored his base hp, and he was not wounded at the end of the battle. But after the battle he had 51hp. He might have been striked with a Wraith of God, but is it possible for the WoG to deal only 5 damage?

At least I discovered that NHV could be healed at the start of a battle — I've never seen this fact in faq and it's very important for such low-hp SCs.
But can anybody explain what's with those 2 extra hps and 6 extra hps later?

Perhaps they got the extra 2 HP from having 4 stars of experience?
