[feature request] Minimum XP for Hall of Fame

I constantly find myself frustrated with HoF entries in the opening turn of a Dom2 game. All these terrible commanders like scouts or weak commanders end up getting nice heroic abilities. To make it a more reasonable distribution of heoric abilities, I suggest that there be a minimum XP required for entrance into the HoF, say 10.

Since I've been running tests on Gandalf's minimap, I've found that commanders get into the HOF just by existing, getting heroic abilities that skews the test results. Having a minimum XP for HOF eligibility would help here too.

Receiving a related Heroic Ability should be nice too.
Not so happy to see my Mage getting heroic prowess, or such.

I also am annoyed by pretenders using up slots and geting zip for it. Why don't they get something at least?

For instance, pretenders could get additional dominion influence as they climb up the HoF, for isn't that what being famous is all about?

You're not going to like this answer: why should they? They're deities (or wannabes). It can be argued that heroic abilities are divinely granted. Who's going to grant a deity a divinely-connected power? Certainly not one of the other pretenders. Who's that leave? No one.

I have no problems with Pretenders not getting any bonus for HOF, after all they're not heroes, they're Gods! (Or, at least wannabe Gods). Seriously, in terms of game mechanics, they get plenty of benefits already.

What I *would* favor (and have heard requested often enough before), is to exclude Pretenders from the HOF list, so they don't burn up a slot on the list. That sounds like it wouldn't even be too hard to implement. Then, extending the request a bit, I like the suggestion I heard once to put the kill/experience stats of Pretenders on the Pretender list (the one that comes up w/ F4).

On the question of a minimal experience level for the list I'd be in favor of that, but OTOH, it doesn't sound too urgent to me. After all, any commanders that get a heroic ability in the first few turns won't get much of a benefit from it, since the size of the bonus depends upon how long you stay on the list.

The Last thing I'll mention (which I've mentioned before, and is probably a nit, anyhow), is that I'd love to see Orion's experience brought down to normal levels. For some reason it just bugs me to see an indy merc permanently pegged at the top of the list.
