Default AI Intelligence projects.

When I made a game with the new Darlok race, that relies mainly on intelligence, I realized the following problem:
What is the use of the General Espionage projects for a computer empire? I think none, because the AI cannot understand the information it gets from these projects. Therefore it should be possible to exclude these projects for the AI. The only exception is the Technology Espionage, where you get new technology. MM should create an AI Intelligence Project File like the AI Contruction Vehicle Data File, where you could specify and individually adjust the frequency of the individual intelligence projects for the AI. That would probably increase the performance of the AI intelligence quite a bit.
In my game the poor Darlok got beaten by the Eee (also under computer control) because they wasted their intelligence points on general espionage projects instead of crew insurrection or other sabotage projects on the ships that were about to destroy their colonies!

Q - this has already been suggested a number of time to MM (see my wish-list/bug thread) Also, there needs to be a limit on the number of active projects the AI can sustain at a time (if you look periodically, they will sometimes have 12 projects running at a time with an average completion time of hundreds of years!!).

Thank you very much for this information Tampa Gamer. There is so much in this forum, that it is quite difficult to know what has already been mentioned. But that's exactely what I wanted to hear, so I don't have to importune MM with it.

No prob. This is one of my biggest wishes for the next patch (at least for a limit to say max. 6 at a time). The other one is for the AI to use cloaking. Until then, there is no point in using cloaking as a human b/c the AI will never use it (unless you want to cheat).

I don't think it's fair to consider it "cheating" to do what the game is designed to do. It's not the player's fault that the computer players are so pathetically coded. This is probably as bad as, if not worse, than the first Version of Master of Magic.
