Default Question on Formations & the Editor

Doing some testing on my OOB revisions and I've run into something I don't quite understand.

Normally when you buy a Company Sized unit you can cross-attach platoons/sections in the Scenario Editor.
However it seems that units from Purchase Screen 5 (Air Transport + Troops) are designated platoons in the Scenario Editor regardless of their designation in the Formations tab in the OOB.

Is there something I'm missing here?

P.S.
I'm aware you can change the Command Level in the Scenario Editor. Just trying to figure out why the the company designation isn't working "properly".

Look up your formation in Mobhack - it may be a platoon. Or a second class company, which is another oddity.

If not - please supply the formation number, nation, etc and I will have a look.

Sorry, can't give you a formation number as it's one of my own modifications not something in the official game.
I'd first tried to use a 2nd Class Company to get the effect I wanted and that didn't work so I assumed, as you mentioned it was an oddity with them. Then I tried changing the unit to a full Company and it still came out as a platoon in the Scenario Editor.
I was just hoping it might be a known issue or perhaps I'd done something wrong. As I said I can just change the Command Level in the Scenario Editor to get the effect I needed, I was just hoping there was a way to avoid this.

It's hard to offer advice on something like this by remote control. If you want to send me the OOB off list I'll look at it and try to figure out what your problem is. Send me a private note on the forum and I'll give you my email address.

You may have stumbled on a mobhack bug and we can't fix what we can't see.
