Lock Cbm: Me

I know there has been a considerable part of the community somewhat wary of recent CB changes- this is pretty understandable, I have some reservations about possible repercussions of the hammer change myself. Personally, I would like to see how they pan out, but the re-ignition of the gem gen debate has made me realize there is fundamental clash between in how some people enjoy the game completely apart from game balance per-se. Far be it from me to cast judgment on what makes the game fun for others, the result is Conceptual Balance Mod: Masochist Edition. This version is equivalent to CB 1.7 with the exception of changes of the 'nerfing' variety, including those of earlier CB versions.

EDIT: Ah, uneditable thread titles, I had forgotten the price of law and order.

Thanks, that seems to kinda work, though for some reason in doesn't seem to like adjusting caps.

Huh, that's really strange. Using the formatting CBM: ME it tries to correct the case of the letters. If you put another word before or after CBM: ME everything is ok. For example, CBM: ME (alternate version) works fine.

hehehe,

I might refer to it as 'classic edition'.

Thanks alot for the thought though.

---

any chance we can get a features/updates list for this one?

(relative to 1.5 of 1.7 is fine)

Thank you QM. Does it have a list of changes?- or better yet a short list of diffs from CBM 1.7?

ok. I just ran a diff. I have a few Qs and comments.
1. what's that?
-- Divine Grasp
#selectweapon 510
#bonus
#end

2. What are all the rutted and rusted armors for?

3. So, is gorgon back to base price?

4. Same Q for oracle new path.

5. I actually like Forge lord nerf

6. I also like Hinnom nerf

After reviewing the diffs I conclude that I like CB 1.7 more than ME. However I may prefer to disable SDR/hammers uniqueness depends on feedback for 1.7.

Excellent work QM et al. A breath of fresh air to this tired game. I'm eager to see how the hammer change would pan out.
