Still having sound issues...
Hi guys,
I am one of the people who was having an issue with the game crashing due to the playing of multiple MP3s at the same time. I followed the instructions in the Sounds folder to convert the MP3s to .wav files, but now I'm having a problem with sounds not playing at all. I get this bizarre sort of really soft humming noise in the background for sound and nothing else...
Any ideas?

Hi,
I am afraid that for such a technical issue you should wait at least for a few days before having an answer, because I think that everyone (who may assist you) is temporarily unavailable.
In the meanwhile it would help if you post details about the problem and your settings.
cheers,
Pyros

Did you remember to replace the INI file?I had no sounds until I remembered to do this.

Yep, I moved the .ini file into the directory. I'm going to try and do a complete reinstall and see what happens...

Re: Still having sound issues...
Oh, one question though, I noticed that in the instructions when you're using the converter program, it says to pick something like "PCM signed 24-bit stereo" as the type. In my drop-down list the closest thing I see to that simply says "24-bit stereo". Is that the right one? I'm thinking maybe I converted to the wrong format...

Re: Still having sound issues...
Not for me Alby... Are you using GoldWave? I had to download version 4.26 because the website said that was the latest version that still works in Windows 98, I wonder if that's the problem.
Any ideas?
