Re: My first map
I didn't actually play on it and I don't know how well it plays, but it is pretty good try for a first map. The graphics help to identify the terrain except in few cases, but here are some hints about the actual graphics:
The default land color could be closer to green.
On the north-west corner, river and border run almost next to each other. I think drawing a little wider river, or just having the river in there, would work as a border.
I can't tell which provinces are farmlands. Plains and farmlands are of the same color, and a river can run through both a farmland and a swamp. And at first, I mistook swamp for a farmland because I didn't see anything else resembling farmland.
If someone starts in the southern part of eastern continent, they can only get swamp and waste provinces. I suggest making the desert little smaller, or adding a river which would make 1 or 2 of the provinces in the middle of it plains or even farmlands.
There seem to be many sea provinces. With that many seas, one underwater race gets too much of the map, and two would probably dominate those starting from land unless one destroyed the other, and then the dominate the land.
And some others about the .map:
Name the map. 'A map with 91 provinces' is a bad name. Also, give it a description. 'A map with 91 provinces, X of them under water. The world is divided into two continents.' would be a good enough description.
