Surrendering?
Hi,
Maybe a really simple question but how does one surrender the current game? Is there a key like F9 in SPWAW? Now F9 seems to function the same way as 'Z'which doesn't do much good...
BTW is there a list somewhere of all the keyboard commands available? The help doesn't seem to give a total list.

Re: Surrendering?
There are lists in the GG in various places and the Help file. Between the two the list should be complete
We removed the surrender option a couple of years ago when it was proved to be used as a PBEM cheat

Re: Surrendering?
Why would you surrender? You live or die for the honor of your nation's survival, my Norwegian friend. It is most probable that surrender would mean the Gulag for such strong forces as the Norse, who in their viens boil the blood of the Vikings. Certainly, you would not want the blood-thirsty Russians plundering the riches from the lands your honorable, and humble, ancestors died upon. How could there be surrender to the hands of the oppressors, dear Stian? As the Wonderous General John Stark proclaimed, "Live Free Or Die; Death Is Not The Worst Of Evils."

You go, Sewter! I'm with you! No surrender. They'll get my gun when they pry it out of my hot grubby little hands!

Re: Surrendering?
Wild Bill, you bring pride upon my humble suggestion of surrender. I am moved by your reply. Thank you. For you, too, have enjoyed the movie 'Red Dawn' as few have. When I am traveling on 400, near I-285, I often drift to the 'no surrender' philosophy...it is the only way to make it home sometimes.

Re: Surrendering?
Czesc some new idea
Surrender option for the game need big code changes. If you push for example f9 your unit surrending if near 3 or 4 hexes are the enemy and see your unit. Your unit is taken to the enemy control without arms they are POWs. So now the enemy moust go with POWs unit to the map edge. If during this trip the POWs are take by you they are rearmed and go back for your control as your unit.

Re: Surrendering?
Yes because they should be under control of your side. That idea is a very funny. In the casualities scren should be too a table deads enemy solider like today and captured enemy soliders.

Re: Surrendering?
Then what about rummaging the battlefield for wounded/uncounscious soldiers? After all 'casualty' doesn't mean 'dead', so anytime a squad loses someone there should be a dice roll to check wether the guys is alive or not, then if he can be recaputred or anything, or even stand back up and fight, or rejoin his squad...
Wow, now that gets complicated!
And how about rearming your own POWs once you free them? Got spare weapons specially stacked for this case?
