Gift of Nature's Bounty
Hi all !
It's the second time I cast this spell in SP and it has ruined both games : it seems to increase my income by *10.
I expect something more low, like +xx %, not to have my money over 25k per turn
Is this a specific bug of my install (3.26 patched. I had a problem with a mod and re-installed) or is this WAD ?
Thanks for your answer !

Re: Gift of Nature
Let me guess your dom is also 10 in most provinces?
Then according to the spell, you should get 200% income.
See:

10x as much seems a bit much.

Re: Gift of Nature
Also which mods are you using? It helps if you list this.

Re: Gift of Nature
I don't get that spell. By the time I'm able to cast it I have enough provinces to let me forget money in general. At least for me. And I always play SP.
Maybe with Utterdark?

No, Utterdark kills it. Pan cast it in one game I was in. Castles everywhere, recruiting Pan at each of them every turn. More income than the rest of us combined.
Sure, gems are more important, but don't underestimate cash for mages. Especially for those nations that have high-end mages out of every castle.

Re: Gift of Nature
I could never stomach so much micromanagement.
unless there's a bevy of shortcuts I don't know about?

Re: Gift of Nature
I'm kind of confused, you cast an extremely high end ritual that says it will give you a huge income boost and it wrecks your game that it lives up to expectations?

Re: Gift of Nature
I have potential explanation for the 10 times increase.
You probably took your income after the reduction of upkeep. Say 80% of your base income is used for upkeep. So each turn you only get 20% of your total income in gold.
Now for example, your total is 1000 gp. And you have 800 gp in upkeep costs. Then you only see 200 gp in your treasury each turn.
After casting GoNB, assuming dom 10 everywhere, your income becomes 3000gp. After removing 800gp upkeep you have 2200gp in your treasury. Which is 11 times more.

That was exactly my thought, also. I've seen such income increases from it because of this.

Re: Gift of Nature
I still don't understand why you'd need so much money late-game.
You can only recruit one spellcaster from each castle a turn, and you could easily sustain that with the amount of provinces you should have by then. Assuming you're playing SP. I don't know much about how many provinces players typically hold in MP.
