Should I buy SE5?
I've been around here for quite some time, and I know I can trust the opinions of most of you guys. As such, I'm wondering if I should buy SE5 in its current state. I was a beta tester, but had to pretty much drop out a while before release due to an inability to find the time to adequately test as I felt I needed to. What I'd like to know is if SE5 is in a good enough condition now that it'd be a good replacement for SEIV, which, to be frank, it wasn't when I stopped testing.
Basically, what I'd like is for some of you to hit the highs and the lows, to give me an overview, if that isn't asking too much Thanks!

Wait, I have a question, if you were a beta tester didn't you already get a copy of the game? Or did you have to return it once you stepped down?

Re: Should I buy SE5?
I just bought it. Review will no doubt be posted sometime.
If you hear a faint scream of agony, that's probably a 'No'.

Re: Should I buy SE5?
I bought Se5 and I think it's a great game
1. It has more options then se4
2. It has realtime ship combat (no more shoot first you win)
3. It has a good ground combat (also realtime that you can SEE)
4. It will have a good A.I. (when it has all the bugs worked out that we found )
5. It does have pretty graphics
6. And last but not least start practicing strategys for PBM

Re: Should I buy SE5?
I presume he means that there aren't enough opponents as of yet for many games to be played.

Yes, I did receive a copy of the game, and had been patching it up with the beta patches up until the time that I stepped down. In fact, if I felt like it, I could probably still go to the beta testing site, download all the patches and have myself a free game. However, I'd feel bad doing that, since I haven't contributed in recent months. Basically, I could, but I don't want to

Re: Should I buy SE5?
So patch it up and use that as a demo?

Re: Should I buy SE5?
It should be in a good condition by the next patch, to be almost a good replacement for SEIV.
