Default CD Music-not the usual bit

Okay, I'm not entirely certain just how useful this is to anyone, but I decided to poke around the settings.txt today and I wound up happening across this little gem of information:

quote:
Num Intro Songs := 1
Intro Song 1 Track := 9
Num Background Songs := 8
Background Song 1 Track := 2
Background Song 2 Track := 3
Background Song 3 Track := 10
Background Song 4 Track := 11
Background Song 5 Track := 12
Background Song 6 Track := 13
Background Song 7 Track := 14
Background Song 8 Track := 16
Num Combat Songs := 6
Combat Song 1 Track := 4
Combat Song 2 Track := 5
Combat Song 3 Track := 6
Combat Song 4 Track := 7
Combat Song 5 Track := 8
Combat Song 6 Track := 15

Now, I'm more than certain that this has been brought up before, but I couldn't find anything relating to it on a cursory scan through the archives, so I figured I'd let my little "discovery" be known to all.

The way I figure it, this little tool can be used in one of two ways:

-Edit the settings.txt to allow for a different CD/playlist
-Use the current settings.txt as a guideline for burning custom CDs (for those of us who have that ability) so that it wouldn't be horribly difficult to switch back in the original SEIV music when it suits that nostalgic feeling.

Obviously, you can combine both methods, and just make a backup of the original settings.txt very easily (and in fact have multiple copies, one for each custom CD you have).

I'm going to be looking into making a custom CD combining tracks from the OSTs of Homeworld, Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos, and Stars! Supernova Genesis (I broke down and ordered the OST at-cost from Flying Squirrel Sound. I have a weak spot for really good music).

Anyway, if I'm just repeating something that someone else found and posted a while back, I apologize, and will simply get back to working on my other projects.

<edit>*smack* D'oh! I'm a goon. I just did a deeper search into the forums for info...I should never be allowed to post before I wake up. Apologies to Baron Munchausen and anyone else who knew about this long before I did. Feel free to smack the newbie, I deserve it. </edit>
