Death curse
Does anybody know what the Blood 9 bless "Death Curse" do? I tried it with Pangaea White centaurs and didn't find anything.
The +4 to strength is a great bonus for the Javelins (+4 Dmg, +4 range)!

Re: Death curse
Death curse causes the unit that killed the blessed unit to become cursed if it fails a magic resistance check.

Re: Death curse
Yes, while it dosnt seem too useful it can be very nasty against certain enemies (try b9d9 Marignon flagelants against jotun/SC heavy enemies, the enemies are cursed and the flagelants have 2 attacks with a 350% chance of causing an affliction(before curse effect is added))

Re: Death curse
It's also probably better to use with a lot of weak sacreds as opposed to a few strong ones. Although it's not really a bless I'd shoot for past B6 anyway, just the strength boost is better IMO.

Re: Death curse
What uses ?? It's just an utterly crappy blessing, I can't see why in any case someone would like such a poor effect for investing in level 9 magic ...

Re: Death curse
Would be useful for massed sacreds (such as high death flagelants) stacking afflictions on less numerous enemies. I doubt i would EVER take b9 just for the bless but if i was taking it on a pretender for casting spells the bless could be handy.

Re: Death curse
The bless is potentially useful on weak, massable sacred units. But aside from Marignon Flagellants, I can't name many others. Mictlan Eagle/Jaguar/Sun warriors, perhaps.
If I wanted to curse a lot of units, I'd try Baleful Star. If my goals were afflictions, I'd go for Death bless, which sounds suspiciously deadly now. And it doesn't require any sacreds to die just to potentially do something !
The Death Curse should be Disease or something equally brutal.

Re: Death curse
Curse Luck would also work. It sounds like a brutal effect - and negates Luck!
