Movement Chart Speed 18
The FAQ has a movement chart up to speed 13. I have a speed 13 ship with an Emergency Propulsion V. What does the movement chart look like for a speed 18?

I'm not where I can test it right now, but I remember testing it before, though not the exact results. IIRC, the first move is on day 2, then it moves almost every day for a while as if to make up for not moving on day 1 when a ship with a normal speed of 18 would have, then it slows back down near the end. If you just need to know when the first move is, it's day 2; if you really need the full exact chart, I can't help you until this evening.

Having the exact chart would be good.
I have a fleet chasing me and I need to maneuver away from it. In general thought good to have the movement early. But I am going in basically a big circle and if there is too much early movement he could catch up to me near the ned. Thanks

If the enemy fleet is slower, why not move partway around the circle, then wait for them to catch up before running away again?

Well this ship is a Black Hole creator and through a series of misteps it should have landed on the star and destroyed it this turn but did not. Now I have to maneuver around the star, force the enemy to use their movement chasing me and arrive at the star this turn. Meanwhile a stronger fleet (expendable) is going to sieze the star. Because of the locations of the fleets and WP I can not proceed straight to the star and have to take a circular route. I do not want to be caught by the enemy fleet:-) I also do not want to allow him time to reinforce his forces on the star.

How about:
Move along the edge of the system, away from the enemy fleet and possibly away from the star.
As soon as they will have reached the edge, you can run for the star and make it there first. All you have to do is delay until they run out of MP and can't make it to the star that turn.
So, if you run to a corner, then go back and forth until the enemy should be close, then run down the opposite edge, the enemy will follow you to that edge. With your last 6 mp, rush the star. Since the enemy fleet presumably has less speed, they should not make it to the star by the end of the turn.

Getting out of the corner safely should not be a problem.
Edit: Hmm, examining the chart, it appears that emergency propulsion works in a very non-intuitive way. Rather than simply calculating movement days as normal with the total movement available instead of the base, the normal movement schedule for the base speed is simply modified by cramming all the extra moves in as early as possible after the first normal speed move.
