Biding my time & Misc Comments

So I'm getting the idea that its really gonna happen, I'm really gonna play a new and improved Dominion game soon, so I busted out the old DOM2 CD and fired it up, only to get a good chunk of my free time monopolized by it. Oh well, its been like 95 degrees for the last week anyway, so no reason to leave the basement, right??

A few questions for anyone at all (sorry if these have been asked, I haven't read every single thread)

1) Any chance of getting electronic distribution, ala StarDock's Galactic Civilizations II?

2) Is there a list of the gameplay changes, other than the Dom3 progress list at http://ulm.illwinter.com/dom3/dom3progress.html and the official marketing page?

3) Has anyone looked at the possibility of making a spell forge? Like in Oblivion? Since all the spell effects are known, why not have a certain point rating / effect?

Anyway, aside from all that, I'm excited! This is a great game, and a great community.

Yep firing up an old Dom disc is a definate time-killer. I even fired up Dom1 recently and enjoyed it.

1) Electronic distribution is not a "standardized" thing yet. Believe me, its not as simple as it seems it should be. Everyone is kindof doing their own and there are a ton of headaches involved that people dont realize. People like stardock havent released a tried-and-tested installable module for it the way you can add a forum or a shopping cart to a web site. (Im not Shrapnel so this is just general info gleaned from the gaming and the system admin forums)

2) I also would like to see a list of features, and changes. But I suspect that the time it would take to write it would take us past the release date

3) No idea. But Im not big on information files like that. Id rather stumble across it in the game. But some other player might agree with you and pop one out
