Shadow Fleet - PUBLISHED
This is a work in progress. Please note that if I went with the actual dark look of the shadow ships, you would not be able to see them in the game. As it stands now, you migh not be able to now.

Re: Preview - Shadow Fleet
I think he means the purple weapons(?) glow.
But I could tell this was an AT shipset straight off, you do have a certain style of design. Most of the ships are scaled up or down versions of on hull shape. This isn't a criticism, all the ships look good and it make the fleet consistent, it's just a comment.

Re: Preview - Shadow Fleet
Most of AT's fleets "build" on each other. There is a consistency that makes the fleet look like they were designed with previous ships in mind. Looks good, AT.

Compare them to the stock shipsets, and you will see Atrocities is doing his shipsets exactly the way all stock-ships are done. The different ships of each shipset are usually only bigger and have some extensions. I would like to have each shipset with truly unique ships/pictures, but that would probably multiply the amount of time necessary to create just a single set

I like them very much, especially this "wave"-texture.
It gives them a sort of undefined shape which I find very fitting.

We aim to please That was my goal with the Bartelians, but it didn't turn out exactly as planned. Right now I'm working on a (massive) set which does do that thing.
Of course, some ships'll look like each other; but these are just the ship "families", in which each ship is based on the previous incarnation. The Scouts, Escorts, Cutter, Corvette and Light DD are all based on the same design, and so are, for instance, everything between Cruiser and Battlecruiser, but regardless of this each "family" is significantly different from the others. So while a Cruiser seen from the front is somewhat reminiscent of a DD family ship seen from the front, there'll be plenty of differences in them. Not in the least where texture is concerned I'm working on the Battleship family now, and trust me it's wholly different from everything else I've got so far.
Sorry to post semi-related stuff like this here, but I just thought I'd mention it. Looks very nice as always AT You have a high standard of quality!
