Default About "Lindows" and Space Empires IV...

Hey guys, I need to ask a question about SE4. I'm thinking about buying the operating system called "Lindows" but I'm worried that SE4 might not run on it. I've heard some Windows based programs have touble working on Linix or Lindows, is SE4 the samce case? Also, I heard Red Hat 9 is pretty good OS too, is this the same problem with that operating system?

Any info would be most appreciated.

I've not used either myself. I typically stick to Windows, Unix, or AIX depending on what I'm working on.

I believe Lindows in a Linux equivalent to Windows. This gives the easy functionality of windows in a cleaner, more reliable Linux environment. Windows really is a bloated memory hog with REALLY poor security.

I'd check the game requirements from Shrapnel. If they don't support it, then you are probably out of luck.

In theory, AFAIK it should run fine on Lindows, but I haven't tried it, or heard of anyone who has. One of my co-workers is planning to eventually set up a Lindows box, though, and if/when he does, I'll give it a try.
