Default Setting up a multiplayer game for new players

While this thread should technically be in the MP forum, I feel more interested players are likely to see the thread on this part of the Dom 2 boards. If you feel I am wrong though, feel free to yell at me and ask for the thread to be moved.

So, I would like to set up a multiplayer game for new players to get their feet wet; for this purpose, a new player is someone having not played in multiplayer at all, or just a little (started a game, played with a friend, and so on). The game would follow "standard" settings, especially for independents (the default setting of 3 is never used, as it results in independents being push-overs).

Two slightly different formats for the game could be used: either a few "seasoned" players could provide answers/hints when needed, or every nation could be shared by two nations, with the beginning player being in charge (and the other, more knowledgeable player acting as a sort of advisor). In both cases, the result should be the same though.

So, if you would be interested in such a game, please let me know, if a few players express an interest, I will create the game, along with a thread on the appropriate forum.

I am interested. I have been playing SP games since late December, so I might have experience with more nations than the typical newbie. I do have plenty of weaknesses and have never played MP.

The first setup, with the experienced advisors that anyone can consult, seems better to me.

I would be willing to be one of the 'seasoned' adviser/players.

I would be interested in playing as Pythium. I've reviewed lots of numbers and tested a lot of things, but never played with anyone other than one friend, on a few occasions.
