Blitz games this weekend
It looks like we will have quite a few players for blitz games starting around 18:00 GMT saturday and sunday on the gamesurge #dominions IRC channel. Just to let anyone know who may be interested.

How long do these blitzes last; are there turn time limits?

No turn time limits, the games usually last between 2 and 5 hours.

I'm not sure if it will work with mac, but there is an outline of what to do in this thread .

Wish you could do time limits on turns, but to be viable the server and clients would have to cooperate, probably first giving the player a warning that time is almost out, and then automatically uploading what orders have been given at the time limit.
Otherwise you'd either get lots and lots of stale turns, or people are wasting their time giving an order, uploading it, doing another 2 unit orders, uploading, etc, simply to avoid losing their entire turn.

Re: Blitz games this weekend
Anyone around for blitzes today? I've been trying to get into gamesurge the last 15 minutes, but all the servers are timing out. Possibly the hackers are back at it again this weekend.
Edit : Finally just got on via Velcom, and blitzes do seem to possibly be in the making, estimated start time in half an hour.

Hey, great to see you back in the world of dominions.
Come around the channel sometime, it is pretty populous on the weekend, but a few people are around during the week too.
