Scenario Editor in GOLD?

There's my question. It mentioned Map Editor included on CD as a new feature "Map Editor included on CD"--Shrapnel Games/MM. I believe this was on there before. Howveer if they mean a scenario editor i will have died and gone to heaven (interesting tense choice there???) It is hard as is, you must basicly play the game to the point you want and save it, with no understandably support for changing this over into a simple PBW or TCP/IP game with all humans as opposed to AI and one human. Imperator Fyron has explained this to me but i haven't tested yet as PBW is down

So i short is it a scenario editor or the already included map editor?

From the 9/22/00 "What's New" section on Malfador's site: "Some of you have asked about Map Editors and Scenarios editors. They don't exist yet, but they will. Probably not in time for the full release, but they will be made available soon after the release for free to all owners of SE4. As you may remember from SE3, we have a tendency to keep working on the game and creating tools for it long after its been released."

It wasn't on the CD before, it was released in a patch (1.19?)

I think if Malfador had produced a scenario editor there'd be a lot more noise about it from the beta testers and from Shrapnel.

Do you really want a scenario editor?
I'll make you a scenario editor mod.
Unfortunately, I've got a lot in progress right now:
- P&N v2.5
- B5 mod
- AI Patcher 2
- P&N v3.01 (gold)

I'll see what I can do, unless somebody beats me to it

(Do you want a ZIPped S.E. mod of standard SE4, or should I write a program to bLast any mod into a scenario editing mod-mod?)

I am curious. What's your definition of a "Scenario Editing Mod"? What sort of controls are you talking about?

Ships all have 100 speed & Quantum reactors built in, build costs are almost free, near infinite resource production, lots of intel points, 10x population growth rate, unlimited research points, all components have no tech requirements.

All kinds of things to speed up your work.
