Degauss and Cats
Degauss and Cats
Holy moly, I have a cat that likes to sleep on top of an old monochrome monitor that I have on an old AT box. The monitor was getting blurry, so I hit the degauss button, and the cat literally bounced off of the ceiling!

It never gave me a glance. in about two bounds, it blew through the cat door and was gone.

Re: Degauss and Cats
Cats are much more sesitive to high frequency noises and electro static discharges then we are. The degauss button puts out some serious charge. Had a guy at wourk that liked to hit his all the time. Every time he did everyone's monitors for two cubicles in every direction would go all screwy for a second.

Re: Degauss and Cats
Hmmm... so cats don't like degauss, eh?
That is knowledge I can put to good use at a later date.
