No moons, please.
Is there a mod that can get rid of the creation of moons? It's annoying to have to click until I get my planet. Can I turn this off?

Re: No moons, please.
Perhaps you should colonize them - or someone might be able to mod the map creation files to only create planets ?

Re: No moons, please.
It's pretty straightforward to mod (I think it's just to edit SystemTypes.txt and change all the planets with location "same as #"), but I don't know that anyone's posted such a mod.

Re: No moons, please.
There is no mod that does so to my knowledge, but it is easy enough to mod them out of SE4. Open up the SystemTypes.txt file and remove all entries that are planets and have the placement type of "same as X." That is what makes them moons. Of course, I strongly urge that you do not modify your stock data and instead create a mod folder to modify.
Edit:
Beat me by a second or two.

There is no mod that I'm aware of that does this.
You could create your own simple mod by deleting the moons from the SystemTypes.txt file. Moons are positioned using the "Same As X" entry for position. X represents the object number in the file where the moon will share the same position. If you make this to "any" in all cases where it appears, it should work ok.
code:
Obj 13 Physical Type := Planet
Obj 13 Position := Same As 3
Obj 13 Stellar Abil Type := Normal Planet
Obj 13 Size := Tiny
Obj 13 Atmosphere := None
Obj 13 Composition := Any

I guess everyone was in a hurry to answer this question!
