Default Way to change or preserve new game setup options?

I've been playing SE4 for quite a while and one minor thing is bugging me: there doesn't appear to be a way to alter many of the default options for each of the various game setup categories when starting a new game.

I'm comfortable with and have edited the settings.txt and other files for mods and such, but that only covers some of the options, such as the ability to change event percentage chances, a behind-the-scenes change, vs. an actual options menu default selection change.

What I'm looking for is a way to modify things such as, including but not limited to:

-default universe size selection to small or large instead of medium
-race points to 5k as the default
-planet conditions to good as the default
-event severity to one of the options below catastrophic
-default auto-save to every turn vs. none
-computer controlled opponents to high vs. medium

I know some of these can be fudged, for instance by changing the low/med/high settings for opponents in settings.txt such that say the medium default actually functions like a high setting (e.g. set min and max for med to 15 and 20), but that doesn't actually make the selection bump to high instead of medium AND you have to change it in every settings.txt for every mod you play.

It's a small gripe, but when you start a new game with certain kinds of options, it's nice to be able to quickly restart again with the exact same options you like to play with, esp. when those options tend to make the first system you randomly drop into less than favorable most of the time -- with the desire/need to restart over and over until you finally get a decent starting system.

Basically, I'm asking if there are more optional lines one can add to settings.txt that influence the above options, existing lines I might be totally overlooking that do the same thing, etc.

Any help appreciated.

If it’s just the starting position(s) that bugs you, it's easy to edit them in the map editor

Best way to do it is to generate a map in SEIV first and then import it in the editor.
