Default Cloaking and sensor question.

I was wondering if you can change sensors in this way. I'm sure everyone knows how the long range scanners work. They have a ranged scan(5 sectors I think). With the other sensors they can scan the whole system. Is their anyway you can change these advance sensors to have a ranged scan(like 5 sectors away). I say this because if the other sensors had a limited range cloak would be more useful thro out the game!

Nope, 'sighting' rules in SE IV are 'all or nothing' for the whole system. MM would have to change the way many other things in the game work in order to accomodate limited range detection. Hopefully in SE V we will see something like that.
