STM installing?

Hello all.

I am completly new to modding SE4 gold, and just started plating the game a few days ago. Soo, I downloaded STM V1.7.5, and installed it into a folder called "star trek mod" in my SE4 directory, and then read the readme. It says somthing about needing image packs? I was wondering, what else do I need, besides V1.7.5FULL installed to run the startrek mod properly. Thanks in advance!

The Image Packs refferred to there are most likely the Image Mod.

So I put the bmp's I download there in the star trek mod directory, or in the original SE4 directory? Also, some of the files names don't match (The ones I am suposed to replace the other ones with do not have the same names. So they old ones don't get replaced, the foler they were in just gets more crowded.). Is this right? Also, thats it then? I don't need anything else? Just the image mod right? (Wow, this board is active! lol) (On seccond thought... I am a bit confused... Which 'image mods' do I download? And where do I put them? Hmm... There wouldn't happen to be anyone willing to kind of... 'walk' me through doing this would there? [MSN chat = karatekid88@bellsouth.net])

Hmm... Let me weed out some of the jibberish in that Last post; Can somone help me? Either by MSN, or email, or here, whatever. (When I try to start up SE4, it now has a bunch of errors that look similar to this:

You need to patch se4 to the latest Version.

The imagemod packs only need to overwrite the minis (planets.bmp, or components.bmp, etc) the individual portraits will be unique.

Which packs you need depend on the mod, but you might as well get them all now so you're set for any mod.

The imagemod packs are designed to be placed over your original image folders.
They DONT change any of the original images, just add on to the number you have.
And by placing them in over the original images ALL the mods can use them and you only ever need one copy.
