Default Feature request and bug

Feature-wise, I'd like an option that forces minister controlled ships to avoid warp points (or storms) that damage or degrade ships.

The bug is with my original "Hat-Trick" class population transports. Despite being minister controlled, they don't redistribute population. I think it is because I have a Sat. bay component on board. Anyone else notice this problem?

Darn. Class tomorrow. That's 7 hours I could be playing SE4!

Hmm, are you sure they aren't avoiding storms? I've seen my ships juke around storms but they've been preceeding someplace I sent them, not where a minister sent them. If they don't avoid them on a minster-set path, definitely let MM know.

You can't (yet) set up things to avoid specific warp points but you can set up entire systems to avoid through the Empire Status screen.

Also try designating the points as minefields.. assuming the anti-minefield AI works now that is (in demo they'd just drive on through)- and you can put up with AI mine sweepers trying vainly to clear a non-existant minefield.

Have seen this with the demo, too.

But after re-installing the first Version and applying all patches without playing a single turn in between solved the problem - now the ships -even under minister control- cirlce nicely around all storms that could damage them, but head right through those that are harmless.

Wonder how this can be .. but nobody knows

FYI,

Recent patch fixes it and there is an option under empires to avoid storms and minefields.

I'd also like to point out that a ship given the explore order will ignore any "Avoid This System" markers. I hate having my explorers fly into a black hole system just to explore the dangerous small warp point there.
