Almost sure it's a bug(or a very nasty random feature, hehe).

Get a mercenary that appears in the Hall of Fame dead. Cast Ritual of Rebirth to make him live again. Give him any item, then try to get it back.
I get the same message I got when he was a Mercenary. He must be very Vain, I revive the guy and he don't give me MY itens back? How ungratefull of him.(sorry for the typos and "alien" words, hope u got the mean).

By the way, why can't I choose the Hero I will revive? I just can't revive the hero I want. I got 3 dead heroes and cast Ritual of Rebirth 5 times and still not getting the 3rd one alive. :-(

Sure sounds vain, but you know mercenaries

Did you cast 5 rituals during the same turn? The spell probably targets the first dead hero you have on the HoF. Casting five rituals simultaneously will target the same hero. One casting each turn should work better.

No, did it one at a time.
I just saw another weird thing about this ungratefull mercenary... he is a lone guy. He got 140 in leadership and just don't let me assign anyone to his squads... I think he doest know he died, just like the guy on the "I see dead people" movie. The funny thing I noticed is that I(my god) appear as dead in the hall of fame although I'm as alive as a Ghost King can be. This reviving thing is really buggy.

It doesnt state that he is dead, just that he has died. If you are an immortal you can rack up 10+ deaths on your pretender, so that is not a bug.

I noticed this now that I got 2 crosses. :-P

Another thing that just happened. I got a province with God Forest and a God Mountain that should let me build some units, but those units don't apear on the recruit menu. Anyone?

You have taken Machakas home province. Units recruitable from home province sites are only available to the nation whose home province it originally was.
