Default Blood of Human theme.

It requires HOT-2 scale.
But Abysya requires HOT-3.

The special theme is fine with HOT-2 or will suffer of income/supply malus?

I think Abysya should be a good blood summoning nation, but I find myself always outrunned by other Nations, since default Aby can recruit the good mage researchers/blood hunters in the capitol (and they're expensive too!)

It will suffer with Heat 2. The theme also screams for a postitive magic scale which it is unable to take.

BoH is a much *BETTER* blood summoning nation than vanilla Aby ... But it doesn't have those nice big Abysians badasses infantry and Demonbreds.
Additionally for BoH the Salamander and Dragon mages/priests becomes capitol-only, so you end up weaker in Fire and Holy.
OTOH the sacred GoP are much more useful than the LW and their horrible encumbrance
Overall a nice but very blood-oriented theme. It screams for getting quickly indy mages/sages sites, but somewhat less loud than vanilla Aby thanks to the cheap sacred mages .

Slight misconception here: that should be 'Abysia prefers heat 3'. There's nothing to prevent you to take cold 3 with Abysia if you want a real challenge.

Heh. Yeah, I tried a BoH game yesterday or today, and I didn't like the 'no magic scale' thing either... though, to be fair, if you COULD have it, I think BoH would be superior to base.

I have a small suggestion for BoH Abysia that would be thematic and fixes a small and nagging (but very minor and personal) problem. Why do they have only a 4-gem income? I mean, I understand that the Smouldercone 'wore out' and so it should be a problem. Good. But with the addition of the Sanguine Temple et al., don't you think it would be somewhat apropos to give them a small Blood Slave income attached to the Temple Sanguinary (I think it's called)? Just 1 Blood Slave a turn would be useful, and get BoH back up to the 'standard'.

Just a thought.

Oh, and I heart Guardians of the Pyre.
