Default Wishing for Demons

I was playing Soul-Gate as ermor, and I set all dominion stuff, related to living, to sloth-3, chaos-3, death-3, luck to 0, and magic to +3, then I decked out my lich queen with level 3 nature, 3 fire, 7 death, and 7 astral. I got to the point of casting Wish around turn 50, so I got the idea to summon Bargraphal or however you spell the worm-looking demonlord, several times. Then I used Gift of Reason to make him a super trooper. I was wondering, shouldn't there be a limmit to them though? Since there are only three... or did I just clone a demon, incurring the wrath of the underworld.

Did you make TWO of them, or just one? You may have just cloned a demon, and done a very very bad thing.

Unique is only the name 'Belphegor'. Not 'Lord of Hell'! So you can wish/GoR as many Lord of Hell as you want. Same count for all other uniques including djinns.

Wish is a very powerful spell!

The more interesting question: Does the existence of a wished "Lord of Hell" prevent the manifestation of the Belphegor normally? If you wish for a "Lord of Hell", or whatever, will it now be impossible to summon him normally as well?

If you wish for 'Lord of Hell' he got a random name after Gift of Reason. This name isn't 'Belphegor' so you can cast him regular.

You can rename Belphegor, too. That's not really a definitive reason: The bigger question is: Does summoning a limited-edition summon check for the presence of their existence, and the means by which they appeared is irrelevant, or is it that casting the summoning spell sets a flag of some kind? If the former, then wishing for a Belphegor clone would block the creation of Belphegor by the the normal Bind Demon Lord spell, whereas if the latter, then what does the game use to determine which is the real Belphegor and whether to enable Belphegor again when he bites it....
