Dom2 - state of the art benchmark

Ok. First, as a disclaimer:

I don't play Dom2 for the graphics. I couldn't care less about FPS during battle replays.

Now, on to the part that had me laughing for the Last 10 minutes:

I just installed my new ATI X800pro. Benchmarked it with 3dMark2003: 5200 points.

So, naturally, I want to see if this solves the known ATI problems with Dom2.


Short answer: No.
Maximum Details: 5 fps.

So, perhaps for Dom3... Could you take a look at your graphic-routines?

You'd be better off complaining to ATI; unless I'm mistaken, Dominions 2 uses a cross platform graphics engine / library that is used by a number of other games (Devil Whiskey, a Bard's Tale clone, for instance).

It's ATI (or possibly the graphics library implementors) that needs to fix their drivers / library.
