Default This game is GREAT

Sure I had to uninstall/reinstall it because I applied the 1.27a patch, but it's been worth it. I played 4 or 5 games with the second patch, but the AI couldn't fight its way out of a wet paper sack. Good thing that I'm a glutton for micromanagement (I love capturing slave populations and making them work in the salt mines of Cromyn IV). But in my first game with the new new patch (Large Map-High AI-No Bonus-No Mods), what a difference! I think I can thank Mephisto for the sudden appearance of a Piundon Light Carrier, LOADED to the gills with fighters- and escorted by two destroyers (!) that warped into one of my border systems and proceeded to slice up my warp point picket (5 frigates). Thanks to the bravery of my front line forces, that particular CVL ain't going back to base- but those 5 frigates lost in one engagement probably equal my TOTAL ship losses with the old patch (AI High-No Bonus-Large Map-No Mods).

Whoo-hoo! Looks like I've got a little fight on my hands...
