Default OT: Amon Tobin and Splinter Cell 3

You folks helped me out a few months ago with RPG games, I thought I would ask this here:

There is an excellent musician whom I really like, Amon Tobin aka Cujo (mostly does Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, Intelligent D&B), perhaps one of the best artists in this field, and I was hoping to find out when a new album of his was due out, and I read in one music magazine that his next one in 2005 is a soundtrack for a computer game. Googling gave me Splinter Cell 3, and Amon Tobin indeed has written the "soundtrack" for it. It isnt out yet, but from what I gather, it is an FPS kind of game.
If Tobin was given free reign, the music will surely be good. But what is this game about? Do you think it is recommendable? I dont really dig FPSs, is it a hybrid of some sort?
Thanks much

Splinter Cell is a sneak game. You play an NSA operative who sneaks around trying to accomplish mission objectives. You usually can't kill people, but you have a large variety of ways to knock people out and cart them unconscious bodies out of sight.

I found SC1 to be cool, but SC2 felt repetitive to me. SC2's story also sucked.

Hey thanks very much. Sneaking and not killing sounds good. I liked Thief II a lot, one of my all time Favorites.
Maybe I will check the soundtrack out first. It comes out on Ninja Tunes, an exceptionally good label (well, the label Cujo normally publishes with). Thanks much.

The album is out now and it's amazing. I can't wait to check out the game. My friend downloaded some sample of it awhile ago, and well, it got me. I went out and bought it. In fact, I've got it playing right now. Forget about it being a game soundtrack, as an album it's currently my favorite. It'll be cool to see how it works in soundtrack format. I think you can hear or some of it on the ninja tune site, but I don't remember the link right now. It's definately worth checking out

Hey thanks -- is it as good as Bricolage? Well I'll be sure to check it out soon. Thanks.
