Anybody get their CD yet? Cannot intall game.

I just got my CD in the mail today. However, I cannot install it. I get several errors stating things like a certain dll file corrupted or cannot read the disk. It also will not copy off the CD to the HD, giving up CRC errors. I have tried this on 3 different CD-ROM drives in 2 different PC's to no avail.

Anybody else have this problem? I have already contacted the automated online Shrapnel support section.

Hell I hope this is not a widespread problem, I haven't got mine yet, but from what I've read from the numerous problem posts concerning sound, graphics etc ...I just hope that this is not yet another glitch. Mind you the support from Shrapnel concerning fixes is above average.

Scott, were you trying to install on top of the DL version or was this a clean install elsewhere?

Well, here's a success story....

I got CD version 2 days ago and it installed perfectly.
Just opened the CD Drive folder, and clicked setup.
Was playing in less than 5 minutes.

No problems here...I saved my scenario, saved games and campaigns folders to desktop, uninstalled the game and loaded the version off the CD. The only thing i noticed was that it took a couple of minutes when I clicked the install icon before it got started but then it was smooth sailing. I recopied the 3 folders off the desktop and the game is running smooth. (I keep copies of these folders on a folder on desktop so I have a backup of all the new scenarios which I install

Mine arrived today, No problems.. up and running without a hitch. I now have three versions installed, one for my old pbem games, one for my edited OOB and mods, and the CD version. All seem very happy to coexist.

Maybe you got a duff CD?
