Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
#1 - Good. Needs some detail, but that's it.
#2 - Hard to see, the cockpit is kind of an 'Eh.' Not sure why.
#3 - Oooh, shiney... Add some detail, mainly in the texture.
#4&5 - Pretty much the same - Look good, need detail.
Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
I am usually the basic fighter/ship/misc design - Kev usually goes for detail. I'm practicing more though, and I'm currently making a shipset, with Kev's help of course.

Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
Welcome. Great images. Are they all for the same shipset? They don't look to me like they all belong in the same set.

Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
No, they are not all in the same shipset. The first two are being considered being inserted into the new serpent race set. The last two fighters are suggestions for another shipset that kev is currently making.

Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
The ships look great! When your doing a darker colored ship (#2), try using a lighter background to highlight the ship. A cloud of cosmic dust or a light colored planet in the background will bring out the ship and its detail.

Re: Hello! Modeling Newbie Here!
Oz usually does concept models for me. Since we both use the same modeling program it is easy to take one of his models and tweak it around. Many of his models will be used for a basis in an upcoming serpent race set.
