Default Squadrons in Follow

I've got all my Ships in Line Ahead.
I set up a Squadron, selecting each Ship, in order, starting with the Leading Ship.
I put the Squadron on Follow Command.
I hit the Spacebar.
The Ships do NOT Follow the Lead Ship.
They wander all over the place, some even colliding with each other, hehe.
P.S. I've tried it with and without Waypoints too.
P.P.S If the Ships are two or more Hexes apart, Follow works OK.
It's only when their one apart they don't, I think the rear ships think the hex in front of them is occupied.

Monru :

The follow mode attempts to avoid bumps and crashes by leaving that one space gap between ships. Closer maneuvering can only be done by directly controlling each ship.

That’s the way Salvo is setup now. I guess this function could be linked to ship or squadron Quality if it is an important enough point. What do you think?

The only advantage of having Ships one Hex apart, is concentration of firepower. Can always do that manually, when close to the enemy.
