Music Crash
Well, I'm having problems with crashing. Naturally, it's music related (as almost everything seems to be). Same problem as Renegade 13 from the sticky "Questions? Need help? Look here". Decided to post anew, seeing as that topic hasn't been added to in a year.
Anyway, to sum it up, the game "freezes" occasionally when it switches tracks... only seems to happen in-system, never when changing systems. I can ctrl+alt+del my way out, then re-enter the game (via taskbar or alt+tab) to find it unfrozen. But most of the button graphics are garbled out of recognition. Only seems to happen when the game switches music tracks; when I re-enter the game, the music is working again. The only way to restore graphics is to exit the game completely.
I'm running Win2000Pro with more than enough resources to cover basic requirements, never any background programs running (I hate those things). Already updated graphics and sound drivers fully (I'm running GeForce2 with 64MB and an SB Audigy. Both updated directly from supplier). Windows is fully updated, as is DirectX. This happens with both retail and demo versions. I like the ingame music, I don't really want to have to disable it, but I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?
(On a possibly related note, the sound/music will occasionally cut out for a few seconds. It always returns without incident however, so I'm not as worried about it.)

Re: Music Crash
Oh, almost forgot... when I was searching for possible fixes, I came across some... interesting things. Whom should I contact regarding piracy issues?

Re: Music Crash
The problem I had with music:
Starfury has two kinds of music files: mp3 and wav.
All was well until recently, the mp3 music stop playing...yet the wav was ok.
When the game commanded for the mp3 to start the monitor flickers, and mp3 does not play. Yet you can still play the game, it just start silent (the beguining of the game uses mp3) I reinstalled the sound card drivers, video drivers, directx drivers and still no change.
Finaly, I reinstalled "Media Player 10" (which is the same version I was using before the problem) and the problem was solved.
I think that "Media Player 10" was having a conflicting problem with another of my Music player programs (I do have a few).
Hope that this is enlighting.
