Multiple Bogus-es
So, I was just messing around in an SP game (!!!) and I noticed that a particular AI commander had the Greenstone Armor. As far as I know this item is only found on the body of Bogus the Troll so I assumed that AI player had killed him at some point (they were not advanced enough for Wish, btw). But then not 3 turns later one of my scouts notices a combat at a different AI player - Bogus Strikes again!!! And he was wearing the very same Greenstone Armor, no less. Has anyone else seen this? Where Bogus is killed and yet attacks again later anyway? Is there one Bogus event per player or something?

I've also had bogus shenannigans...
He appeared in a key province of mine and took it along with his merry group of retards. I spent an awful lot of early game resource putting the smack down on him. Killed him and all his mates.
10 turns later, he back and attacking elsewhere.

Yes, Bogus and his tiresome companions' final line is always "We'll be back", and I think my friend had multiple simultaneous sightings of Bogus in the same game once...

Does he also appear again if he's taken by a player through Enslave Mind/Charm etc ?

He only appears if he is not currently in the game.

Did the AI burn the body completely and/or use acid? The only way to be sure.

What you're missing is a sarcasm detector.
If and when Bogus and his companions get killed, there is nothing stopping them from reappearing the very next turn someplace else. Hence the Terminator allusion of "I'll be back!"
