Default Arty stops firing - intermittent bug

Hey all, i am really enjoying WinSPMBT 2, all good.

Found an intermittent problem where artillery will just stop firing no matter that the time is 0.0. The screen moves to the appropriate location, but no splosions occur. and that saddens me.

I found it occuring relatively commonly on 'To Settle a Score', when playing as the Syrians you get about 40 artillery units and they fired fine for about 10 turns, but then stopped. Heaps of ammo, they just dont fire. It occured for a few turns then I re-tasked them all and it was fine.

A save game that shows the problem happening would be helpful.

Has anyone else seen anything like this ??

What I have seen has been similar to the above. I think that has to do with the bombardment turns, when they are split (ie: TURN 0:5 vs 1:3). I do not know if this explains this properly. But it seems like after the main artillery bombardment, the following turn follows the bombarbment positions on screen without actually putting down rounds. Possibly because all of the rounds where put down on the initial turn. I have mostly seen this when there is a third turn to the overall bombardment. And with lots of artillery.

bad news from me, but i have a feeling it occured, i reloaded a previous save and then the fault didnt occur. possibly issue with savegames?

the arty counters all timed down to 0.0, but it just wasnt checking to fire them.

i have restored a few saves with no luck but dont have enough time atm to run through it heaps. i will try and find a save that will replicate the fault.

Did you see it move from place to place on the map like it was bambarding but not bombard as well??

Did anyone happen to notice if the ammo counter showed less ammo after a phantom bombardment?

Yes, that is what I have seen. This has happened with both players. It seems to happen most often the following turns of a 'fire for effect' round. I am not sure of the ammo; however, it would make sense that has something to do with it. It reminds me of firing the smoke rounds, even though there are no more rounds left, the firing positions will sometimes still scroll. 'Phantom' bombarding is a perfect term for it!

Playing scenario 145 "Relentless advance" as the East Germans I noticed that after every time the AI had used air stand off attacks the subsequent bombardment phase was of the "Phantom" bombardment type. I think that no ammo was used, however I am not entirely sure.
