Default Big file size problem

I work on massive mod that I posted two month ago.
I have a really big problem, my mod is so big that se4 stops in the middle of components file and make the game too bad, without any weapons...
I know there is no surnumerous lines in the files such as to lines between two comps or something like that...
Maybe it is done by the file size of nearly 7000 kB.
If you have any idea to repair this, please tell me!

SE4 has a limit of 65,536 or so components. Are you by chance using the tech gridder?

Odds are you have a double blank line somewhere in there.
You shouldn't run into the 64k limit until you have a 50 meg file.

Fortunately, I have just the thing for you, since I had the same problems working on Gritecon:
SE4ComponentsRepairTool
This should clean up all the spacing for you, and chews through the file at well over 50,000 lines per second IIRC.

Fat32 has an absolute limit of 2Gb on any file. Even if you get it to work this 'mod' wil be unplayable on anything but Win 2000/XP systems using NTFS.

He said 7000 kb. 2Gb = 2,000,000 kb, so he's got some components to add before he breaks Win9x file size compatibility.

Oops, got confused by all the constant switching of abbreviations and other shorthand notations. 7 Mb is still a very large components file.

Actually, it is Fat16 that has a 2gb limit; Fat32 goes all the way to 4gb. A patched/service packed Windows 95/98 should be able to use Fat32, though I'm not sure if support for these partitions is actually standard on those OS.

I will remind of those known limits, but i made it only with a part of picking from other mods and a big part of inspiration... with out anything else a little webpage i made to manage many option of weapons groups.
Thank you for all.
I need to test it now!

Exactly, the file sizes depends only of the number of mods inspirations, in mine, a big part come from ideas of star trek mods but reviewed to make cool with the rest of the game. See here to get a view of my mod.

I have to note that the comp repair program doesn't support vehicle list overhide, but this known, it helps me a lot to save my file.
