another noob question...

Hi all! I'm kinda new to this forum. I followed it for some time but this is my first post!

I picked up the Dom3 demo some months ago and really enjoyed it. Some weeks earlier I wanted a new TBS to spend hours on so I picked up the full game.
I like what I've seen from the game so far but I got a small question. Whenever I start a new game, my enemies manage to gather huge armies and march straight at me. I loose in a couple of turns!

Any advice? I lost my manual (can't seem to find that (censored) thing anywhere) so I can't get any help from there.....

You lost your manual? How do you want to install the game in future. This "(censored) thing" contains your cd key.

Sorry but i can't believe how people 'lost' their manual.

Turn the independents higher when you create the game.
And make the map larger.

Yeah it is rather alarming the number of people who "lost thier manual" in the past month or so. I was willing to give the first few the benefit of the doubt. Not any more tho.

Well, let's take your word, but please give more precise questions...
First it's not even remotely possible to lose "in a couple of turns", it takes at least 10 turns to have an enemy army storm your capitol.
Then read the demo tutorial if you've lost the manual, go to the wiki page, look at the links to have other Dom3 or Dom2 advice (90% of it still applies, except nation specifics), and try again

I had this same trouble with dominions 2, then i discovered Province defence and everything was swell.

Make sure you are using PD. Make sure you build forts in stratigic locations with high resources. MAke sure you have mages and preists escort your armies.
