The FV432 has
always been called an FV432. Never, ever a "Trojan" by the troops. (Our American allies seemed to fall over laughing at the name I seem to recall

!.
It is about the only vehicle where the FV series number was
ever used by the troops AFAIR, and not the vehicle's name. For example - "Saracen" would be used but never "FV602" or whatever its jumble of numbers was.
There will be enough old soldiers who remember the old clunker from BAOR and so its "traditional" name will likely stick, not some made-up name thought up by a Whitehall civil service wallah.
Cheers
