Request for 1600x1200 screenshots
Hi,
I want to purchase the retail version of SPWW2, but have seen some comments that the scaling up of the game engine does not work well at this resolution. The primary reason I want the retail version is for the higher resolutions.
Can anyone post 3 or 4 screenshots at 1600x1200 so I can assess how it looks?
Thanks,
winovin

@ winovin :
You missed a little word in you post: .. please ..
@ mobhack :
The server returns an invalid document somewhat (dunno how it is called). In any case, Firefox does not open the png file but offers to download it ... or is that deliberate?

Re: Request for 1600x1200 screenshots
firefox offers to save it - but if I go to the web page directly, it downloads and opens up irfanview as usual.
Who knows - probably something to do with the "make URL" process of the forum - as if I point at that link with IE, it downloads to the browser page. So something either not standards-based or something that gets messed up if yo use firefox instead of IE (as usual).
Cheers

Re: Request for 1600x1200 screenshots
Winovin,
I use 1600x1280
I have found that when I zoom in to the max. it looks a bit pixelated; so I most often use the next level zoom.
The CD version makes planning and playing much easier because you can see so much more of the battlefield at a glance. The map doesn't feel restricted, where I have to pan around or zoom right out in order to view the situation.
I like the new filtering for op fire too.
Definately worth the purchase.
