I was just wondering- what happens when you make a heretic a Prophet? Because although the mental imagery of a Sceptic being made The Voice of God is soddin' hilarious, I don't think I'd find it as funny if my prophet caused his God to wink out of existence.
So how does it work? Are there 'levels' in Prophethood? How powerful is Prophethood compared to Heresy?
I think it's the other way around. The prophet's dominion spread is fixed, but heretics have a number in parentheses when you click on them. Most are Heretic (1) or (2), but Belphegor has Heretic (5) which I think is 5 checks per turn. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong.
Heretic = Priest of x level preaching in the province against dominion. Which is (30% * priest level - 5%) per candle chance of knocking the dominion down. According to the rulebook, which is often wrong. So a minor heretic prophet should still spread a bit of dominion on average, depending on domstr.
Try fighting against LA Ryleh where his dominion or spells cause commanders to go insane. I have had my own insane priests preaching against my dominion. Worst part is that I cannot order them away, or disband or kill them.
