Default Small campaign

Hi guys, I was wondering, is there a possibility to set the number of support points when playing the campaign generator to 0? The thing is, i want to have a core troop value of 400-500 points and no or perhaps 200 support points. But as it is now, i get 750 support points which destroys the game for me. Am i blind not finding the button/field or is there none?

Support points are voluntary. There is nothing forcing you to buy any support troops, so if you do not want them - do not buy them. Should you want a voluntary limit of say 200 - simply make sure you limit yourself to 200.

Thanks for the Quick-quick answer Andy, but what about the computer. Will it buy for the 750 that it gets allocated? Or doesnt he get anything extra over the value that i set for him in preferences?

And another question, is there a chance that you guys could make another extra button beside the number of battles in the campaign generator, so that one can increment the number of battles in 10s? It's a bit hard to sit and click 100-130 times every time one wants to start a new campaign...

The AI buys the correct ratio of points for the appropriate battle type after your purchase and based on whatever you have actually spent in ((your support points used + your core's value) * AIAdjustPercent (if used)). So whatever you set for "him" in the preferences screen is completely irrelevant in campaigns. His points are based on your force's points value and nothing else.

Setting points values in preferences just before start of a campaign is therefore only relevant to player 1, and just for his initial core buy only. Everything else comes from player 1's build and repair points and increase in troop value as their experience (and so cost value) increases over time, plus any support points you spent this battle on troops or mines.

Setting air strike levels in preferences before a generated campaign game is also entirely ignored, as the campaign code will decide the air levels.

Cheers
Andy
