USSR OOB correction
The Komsomolets light APC/artillery tractor (unit 108) is modeled as being unarmed, however they actually had a ball mounted DT 7.62mm machine gun (weapon 129). I've mobhacked a armed version with zero firecontrol or rangefinding, 50 rounds of ammo, and a firing rate of 6. It seems fairly realistic for an armed transport, and provides a nice boost for the mechinized scouts.

Re: USSR OOB correction
I think i saw a version of it that HAS a mg in the game(though i don't know if this was on 3.5)i think it was removed to prevent it from being used as infantry support(armored+MG who still wants lmg squads?)

Re: USSR OOB correction
Did we take the guns off the Bren carrier??? You're right about the armed version, the Finns have one, and the Russian artillery tractor is armed. I guess anything can be abused or misused, but it seems odd to have 2 armed versions and then one neutered one. I've taken care to not overdo it, though. It's still a tractor, not a tankette.
One question I do have though... The armed versions all have that gun in the #4 slot. is there a real diference between have the sole armement in the #1 or #4 slots???

Weapon slot 4 is used as the hull weapon slot, for turreted vehicles with a main gun that has to have the hull turn to bear. See Grant, Char B etc. Some OOB designers did tankettes like that - but if not a turreted icon, they need not have.

Re: USSR OOB correction
Less chance it would fire, easier to suppress etc. Makes sense given that the gun was for self-defence and not as much a primary weapon as I ubderstand it (whereas with bren Carrier where the carried guns was to support infantry/give punch to recon).

Re: USSR OOB correction
so, it means that a weapon in slot #3 is less likely to fire than a weapon in slot #2?

Re: USSR OOB correction
Unit 336 had it and the other two didn't. Now corrected . All three now have a BMG like 336
