Attachment Trouble
If you can add to the smiley image set, could you make a "ZIP file", "GAM file", "Image file", "TXT file", and maybe a generic floppy disk image?
That way, we can URL-tag the smiley image, and get something sorta like the attachments we had before, without much more bandwidth use.
Nice "download here" images to click on are all we need, really.

The "Last Post" column.
For a very minor tweak, make it display "X minutes/hours ago", if less than a day, or the date if more.
Just like on PBW.
The time of day is way off for a lot of people, due to timezones & whatnot.
Unless of course, there was a profile option to set our Timezone, and the times were automatically translated to local time. That would be awesome.

Looks like the new forum is hypersensitive to > brackets.
I probably can't even do math:
2 < 3, therefore 1.5 > 1

Oh, use "&" plus "lt" or "gt". That's OK. It converts your text <'s, so I wonder why not your sig? Oh, well.

It'll corrupt when/if you edit your profile.

When that happens, anything between < brackets will be vaporized, so attack it now while you still have your URL tags intact, and replace <'s with "& lt" and >'s with "& gt". (removing the space)

think the forum changes are taking advantage of a new Version of the UBB software, which is a commercial package. I dont think that shrapnel actually has a web board developer sitting somewhere writing features for this thing. I could be wrong, but i think they are gracious enough to give us the ammount of support that they already have on these things.

and as a semi-related aside, does anyone else find it disturbing how the new thumbs-up / thumbs-down icons seem to ball the fist at the second knuckle instead of at the first? i mean, who the heck gives a thumbs-up with a half-closed fist?
